CEG - European Prize Awards Committee
This scam is another variation of the lottery or email scams, it claims the recepient has received a money prize in this case a considerable sum of £170.000.00. The wording within the document asks that you do not tell anyone to avoid envy and jealousy, a trait of these scams, it also states that you should take advice from a stranger!.
To receive these winnings! you must then provide a payment of £20.00 to cover as they put it 'administrative costs for the guaranteed Secured Service and my Precious Guide'. They then go on to ask for credit card number, expiry date and the C.V.V number on the back of the card. If these are sent they now have your address details, credit card details which they can then use to obtain monies, goods etc or steal your identity.
